Ciné Prabbeli

PROGRAMME: CINÉ PRABBELI (WEBSITE)

/// CINÉ
The Ciné Prabbeli is part of the regional socio-cultural centre of the same name. The cinema is a member of the Luxembourgish network CDAC (Centre de diffusion et d’animation cinématographique), and a favourite spot for movie lovers. In line with Ciné Prabbeli’s audience-oriented approach the programme includes blockbusters as well as arthouse or trash movies. In collaboration with the cultural operator Prabbeli the cinema also organizes a varied movie programme for children.

Ciné Prabbeli Asbl has been operating a cinema in the former brewery building since 2003. The elegant wooden ceiling does not only lend the auditorium a distinctive charm, it also creates an ideal acoustic environment. The blinds covering the windows in the side wall can be lifted, so the room also provides a perfect setting for private or business events: you can rent the Ciné Prabbeli for talks, conferences, receptions or office parties.

/// CAFÉ
The cinema also includes the Café Prabbeli, which features a spectacular tented roof structure spanning its courtyard like a prabbeli (“umbrella” in Luxembourgish) and a large mural depicting the town of Wiltz in powerful colours, created by Luxembourg illustrator Lynn Cosyn in 2018.

A fine selection of drinks and snacks is available at the café, mostly certified organic regional and national products. A large billiards table complements the tasteful ambience and invites guests to stay a little longer. The café is open six days a week, not only for film showings, and also hosts themed parties and seasonal events, such as the After Work Party on the first Friday of every month.
