Prabbeli Kids is a tailor-made arts and culture programme for children organized by the cultural operator Prabbeli. It includes recreational activities and events for children and their families, events for school groups during school hours and for children’s groups of the Maisons Relais.
The agenda focuses on regular, all-year-round events featuring music, arts, theatre and movies, complemented by extra-curricular events such as magic shows, storytelling events, art installations, and a lot more. They all have one quality in common: they are able to spark happiness.
The Kannerconcert series, for instance, introduces children to the fabulous world of music. And after the end of the performance the kids get the chance to ask the musicians any questions they like: How long do you practice each day? Have you met the composers of the music you play? Why do you close your eyes while you play the piano? The programmes of the concerts are carefully compiled to suit the age of the audience, and musical surprises are guaranteed.
The Kannerkino, on the other hand, provides an opportunity for happy first encounters with the magical world of the movies. We show selected films for children aged three years and older, presenting them in a setting to suit their age. In discussion groups before and after each film the workings of a cinema are explained, and individual scenes of the film are discussed with the children. Public showings are on the last Saturday of every month; showings for the Maisons Relais take place on free afternoons, as per individual agreement.
